05/28/06 - Premier post

Welcome to the premier post to the Nankivel Family blog.

My wife (Tamara) recently graduated from the University of South Dakota, and I got her a new digital camera. She's starting to take a lot of great pictures and I wanted to do something with them rather than have them take up space on the hard drive like they usually do. My plan is to make at least one post a week, hopefully with pictures included.

Today I was recovering from a friend's bachelor party where I drank way too much. I started feeling like a human being again around 4 in the afternoon. Mazaryk and I went out to Walmart to get some necessities to hold us over until we do our monthly budgeted shopping on Wednesday. I wore my Kangol hat out and he really liked it, as you can see from the picture. He's doing that tag hanging out thing though and Tamara says he's making a fashion statement.

I was supposed to put up the rest of a fence Tamara's dad Mike and I started yesterday. We got the post holes dug and the posts cemented in and leveled out. I'm planning on getting up around 6AM tomorrow and starting on it, and maybe Mike will be able to come out later on and help out. It will be really great when the fence is done because we won't have people wandering through our property using it as a shortcut OR the occasional drunkard who doesn't even know where he's going.

So tomorrow it's the fence, and our budgeting meeting where we finalize the shopping list for the month and all the budgeting for the month. And then I've got my studying for the CAPM exam and some scholarship paperwork to sent off tomorrow.
