05/31/06 - Busy day

Today, I went to work for 4 hours and came back home so that Tamara and I could go to our first appointment to help us along with having another baby.

When I got to the house Heather, Jasmine, Jonathan, Mike, and Gloria were all there in addition to Tamara and Mazaryk. We sat outside for awhile and I got a bite to eat. Jasmine and Mazaryk had some strawberries out on the deck.

Tamara and I are really excited about having another baby. Here's our plan at the moment, although we have to work a few of the details out. For me, it's no alcohol whatsoever for at least the next three months, plus I started taking 400 mg of Vitamin E, 1000mg of Vitamin C, and two GNC "fertility for men" pills every day (the nurses recommended it. Supposedly it's the cheap stuff, but it's $30 for a 1 month supply!)

Tamara is going to do some chewable multivitamins plus folic acid because the prenatal vitamins make her sick. Next month, she'll do Clomid, then birth control pills to shut down things for a month, then they will give her something else the third month (not sure what it's called yet). Then we plan to do IVF with ICSI. It's basically where they extract the eggs and sperm and pick the best ones then inject the eggs and fertilize them, then put them back in. They say there's a really good chance that will do it for us based on all the tests. If we're really lucky we might even come out with twins! (They only implant 2 eggs usually, so don't get any ideas about us having quintuplets or something!)

I just need to work out the financial aspects of it, I know Citibank covers the procedure pretty darn well but I don't know exactly how well yet.

Then I went to school, mowed the lawn and chopped down a tree when I got home at 8:30 or so. Now it's sleepy time at the Nankivel house to get ready for another exciting day tomorrow. My friend Seth's wedding rehersal is tomorrow, so we'll be busy with that after work tomorrow.
