06/17/06 - Cultural Extravagansa!

We had a full day today, this morning we went out to Tea, the small town where Josh grew up. There was a big event, a celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Tea. If you're really bored, you can check out the website for Teapot days here: http://www.teapotdays.com/
We went to the parade, Mazaryk thought it was pretty interesting watching all the crazy people lined up along the street to watch a whole bunch of other crazy people walk by them.




Then, we went to the Multi-cultural Festival at Falls Park. It was drizzling rain a little bit, but we had fun. We had a picnic with the Texley's, and we brought pizza. There were booths and shows from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds there. We went to a Chinese writing booth and had them write Mazaryk's name in Chinese (picture below).
