Financial Freedom Update - June

June was interesting financially. We had some extra expenses that were planned, and some that were unplanned. First, the giant bureaucratic machine over at Citibank managed to mess up Draven's addition as a beneficiary on my health insurance plan. I found out when we received a statement from the insurance company saying that a check-up was 100% our responsibility.

Long story short, I'm going through an appeals process to re-add Draven, but in the mean time we paid an unexpected $288 medical bill and a $205.50 premium for 3-month short-term health insurance on Draven that I took out with an independent agent here in town.

Then there is auto maintenance...a check-up before our trip to the family reunion by White River, SD resulted in a $545 bill. It was necessary and the Hyundai runs great now, but ouch.

We also decided to spend about $65 on baby swings (good buy, I love them!!!!) about $80 on photos, and about $150 in food, gas, etc. for trips and vacation-related stuff this month.

We still managed to pay off a decent amount of debt, although we dipped into our $1000 emergency fund and will need to build it back up in July before paying off extra debt.

June 2007
Debt paid off: $1425.11
Net worth added: $1291.89 (dipped into cash emergency fund for emergency expenses)

Since January 2006
Debt paid off: $26.4 k
Net worth added: $31.6 k

Updated projections

House paid off: September 2012
